The Belgrave Hotel Booking Terms & Conditions

We accept payment made by the following methods: cash, Mastercard, Visa, Debit Cards. Cheques are not accepted.


If you wish to cancel your booking we require 48 hours notice (2 days) prior to the date of your arrival. We reserve the right to cancel or terminate any booking where deemed necessary through unacceptable behavior, actions likely to endanger others, or where in our opinion the booking may prejudice the reputation of the Belgrave Hotel. In all such circumstances, any outstanding amounts must be settled and no refunds will be made.

We cannot take any responsibility for any loss caused by factors which we cannot control, such as disruption to timetables and flight cancellations.

We would like to respectfully remind our guests that a booking or reservation made verbally or in writing constitutes a legally binding contract in Scottish Law between both parties, namely the accommodation provider and the customer.

Should you be overly concerned about the possibility of cancellation you are advised to take out suitable Travel Insurance.

Checking In and Out Times

Our check-in time is from 2 pm to 8 pm. If for any reason our guest cannot make the check-in hours, we highly advise to call us to arrange an exceptional check-in time.

We appreciate if our guest could let us know the approximate time of arrival.

Guests are requested to vacate rooms on the day of departure between 10.30am and 11.00am.


Please tell us about any special requirements e.g. if you wish a vegetarian breakfast, lactose-free breakfast etc.


In the rare event of any damage occurring either by negligence or by the deliberate actions of a guest, which directly or indirectly causes loss to the Belgrave Hotel, the guest agrees to indemnify all such losses, and that this forms part of the agreement at the time of booking. Losses may include lost income through inability to re-let the room, specialist expenses and repairs, purchase and carriage of replacement parts, and sourcing of alternative accommodation as required.

Car Parking

Belgrave Hotel has Free on-site parking.


We do not accept pets in our hotel.

Alcohol Policy

The Belgrave Hotel adopts a ‘low alcohol’ policy with only moderate drinking permitted on the premises. Our guests enjoy coming back to the Belgrave Hotel for its peace, quiet and civilised ambiance, and we hope that all our guests will appreciate this at all times. We appreciate if our guest arriving back late will keep a noise to a minimum after 11 pm.


In Accordance with Scottish Law, The Belgrave Hotel adopts a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy for anyone suspected of smoking in bedrooms. Our guests are not allowed to smoke in any of our rooms. If they do so we will terminate the booking. We may either request the immediate repayment of our costs during your stay or instruct a third party to contact you after your stay to recover our costs. The costs we incur if you smoke in our hotel include costs for specialist cleaning, repair or replacement of damage by you to our property, the cost of the room for any period it is unusable and our administration expenses.
